Sex Therapy
Sex therapy can help individuals and couples identify and address barriers to having a healthy, fulfilling sex life. My work involves exploring the physical, emotional, and relational issues in sexual relationships, education on sexual functioning and techniques, and referrals to appropriate medical providers for testing and treatment of physical issues.
Sex therapy does NOT involve sexual contact with the therapist at any time. No sexual activity will occur within the therapist’s office or during online sessions. Individuals or couples may be asked to engage in sexual homework assignments in the privacy of their own home.
I am certified as a Sex Therapist through AASECT (American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists), and have completed the Sex Therapy Certificate course at the University of Michigan School of Social Work.
Issues addressed:
• Performance anxiety
• Pain during intercourse
• Erectile dysfunction, premature or delayed ejaculation
• Sexual orientation questions
• Gender identity concerns and transitions
• Changes in sexual functioning due to aging, medication use, illness, or injury
• Desire discrepancy between partners
• Low libido
• Inability to have orgasms
• Kink/fetishes
• BDSM
• Safe sex and sexually transmitted infections
