About Jennifer

In 2022, I relocated from New York City to Ithaca, NY.  I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-R, License # R078915) in New York State, and a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Massachusetts.  I received my Master of Social Work degree from New York University's Silver School of Social Work, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film, Photography, and Visual Arts from Ithaca College.

I studied at the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy, where I completed the Psychodynamic Psychotherapy training program. I am certified in Financial Social Work, which provides concrete tasks for money management, as well as addressing emotional stressors that impact how individuals relate to money. 

In the past few years, I have broadened my practice to address sexual issues.  I am certified as a Sex Therapist through AASECT (www.aasect.org), and have completed training in Sex Therapy through the University of Michigan's School of Social Work.  

Most recently, I completed training in the Developmental Model of Couples Therapy under Ellyn Bader, PhD at the Couples Institute. 

Prior to my career in psychotherapy, I worked in television and photography. My creative background has enhanced my skills as a psychotherapist, and switching careers has assisted me in helping others do the same.
